Ethics at Speed: Ethics and the Contemporary World

The world is constantly changing, science and technology are constantly evolving. That means that the ethical issues that matter change too. In Ethics At Speed, a half day philosophy conference put on by the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics as part of the Festival of Arguments, we will quickly run through some of these issues – issues like embryo research, friendship and Facebook and privacy in the digital age.

The festival follows the publication of Ethics and the Contemporary World (edited by David Edmonds). Copies of the book will be available for sale on the day.

Venue:  Lecture Room, Faculty of Philosophy, Radcliffe Humanities, Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6GG
